Balladong Heritage Village

Critical to this project was site characteristic assessment to inform design response for a multi
density urban development at York’s 1831 heritage farm. The project theme for the proposal is “Balladong Heritage Living”. The theme is to be used as a benchmark for project development, creation of the sense of place and setting of social context.

This Development Plan sets a flexible planning framework for the Balladong Project. It ensures the conservation and ongoing viability of the Balladong Farm Heritage Place, by providing a mixed residential development responsive to Aboriginal and European heritage values of Balladong.
