Humpty Doo, Darwin, Structure Plan
The purpose of the Humpty Doo Rural Activity Centre project was to devise a statutory structure plan and undertake a critique of the previous implementation process and devise a new planning instrument.
The aim was to prepare components of a proposed planning scheme amendment required to facilitate development of the Humpty Doo Activity Centre including:
- Structure Plan including planning principles and guidance;
- statutory provisions to facilitate development in accordance with the Structure Plan; and
- statutory mechanism to implement Development Contributions.
This Humpty Doo Structure Plan is in two parts: Part 1 forms the explanatory section giving background context and analysis of service infrastructure; Part 2 is the statutory implementation section, which provided thorough content suitable for the planning instrument to be applied elsewhere in the Northern Territory Planning Scheme.
